Ride Supporters: The Veterans Community Hub

At the Veterans Community Hub in Newton Aycliffe, we are a centralised community hub delivering services to our veteran and civilian community.

The idea was born from Veterans Woodcraft Founder Chris Morgan. He was approached by IES Property who wanted to develop an enterprise facility in their dormant offices based on Newton Aycliffe Business Park

The project has had many reincarnations since it was first mooted, but we now have an excellent woodworking facility, a training kitchen and café facility, a tractor and car restoration project, an in house Mental Health team, as well as Sporting Force Charity who have moved into the middle floor and are in the process of opening a Gym.

We also have the Warrior Project who will be delivering self-accredited gas and plumbing courses as well as building a veterans village.

Finally we also have a purpose built art room and will be delivering art and craft classes as well as our theatrical classes.

The Cooperative are excited by the challenge and are looking forward to welcoming Veterans and the local community.
